Fractional CMO for ambitious brands

Senior marketing leadership when you need an expert, but not yet the full-time hire. I help teams across Europe turn brand, go-to-market and product into a single coherent plan, and then execute it.

Why a fractional CMO makes sense now

Most ambitious teams are past the stage where they need advice on a slide deck. They need someone who can sit in the leadership conversation, shape the strategy, hire a team and then make the work happen.

But hiring a full-time CMO is expensive, slow and risky before the business is ready. A fractional CMO gives you the strategic depth and operating experience without the long-term overhead.

I perform best when I join mid-flight: when there is momentum but not enough alignment, when the team is strong but lacks senior direction, or when the next phase needs a clearer plan than the current one and the plane needs to be built while flying.

What you get

The marketing foundation most teams are missing

Marketing strategy that sticks

A clear positioning, channel plan and measurement framework that connects brand to revenue.

Team leadership and hiring

Coaching your existing marketers, shaping the team you need, and helping hire the right people.

Growth and funnel work

Acquisition, retention, lifecycle and product-led growth mapped to the metrics that matter.

Brand and creative direction

A consistent brand story, creative briefs and a point of view that scales across channels.

Strategic partnerships

Partnerships, sponsorships and collaborations that extend reach without diluting the brand.

Board-ready reporting

Clear data reading, honest reviews and a marketing narrative the leadership team can trust.

Engagement models

Fit the support to the stage

Advisory

Half-day to one day per week

Best for: Leadership teams with strong operators who need direction and a second opinion.

Focus: Strategy, quarterly planning, board decks, key decisions.

Active fractional CMO

Two to three days per week

Best for: Teams that need hands-on leadership but are not ready for a full-time hire.

Focus: Strategy + execution: team leadership, campaigns, growth loops, reporting.

Sprint

Four to eight weeks

Best for: A specific launch, rebrand, fundraising deck or go-to-market push.

Focus: One clear deliverable: plan, positioning, or campaign in market.

How I work as a fractional CMO

I start with the business, not the channel. Before choosing tactics, I clarify what the company needs to prove in the next 12–18 months and how marketing can make that inevitable.

I build inside your team. I do not parachute in with a slide deck and leave. I work with your existing marketers, agencies and product partners, making the whole system better, not just adding another consultant.

I bias toward action. The best strategy is the one that ships. I keep the work moving from insight to plan to execution, with clear check-ins that keep leadership aligned.

I measure honestly. Marketing should be accountable. I set metrics that reflect real business outcomes, report progress transparently, and kill ideas that are not working.

Who it is for

Teams at a growth inflection point

The right fit is usually a founder, CEO or leadership team building an ambitious brand in Europe. You have product-market fit, a strong team, and the sense that marketing should be doing more than it is.

Freelance & personal projects

I build the tools, not just the brief

Most marketers can brief a build. I like to ship them too: an organic farm's e-commerce and back office, a daycare finder, an automated job scanner, this site, and more.

WaterBear

$160k saved a year, and retention went up, not down

WaterBear's CRM was expensive and underperforming. SAP Emarsys was the wrong tool for our needs. After weighing the alternatives, I ran the full migration to Braze, cut $160k a year, and improved both retention and email performance.
